Novice-friendly weathered brick
I stamped several yards of walkway with this roller, and the handyman who poured it was very impressed with the result! Any flaws in the pattern in the attached pictures are my fault, although I would recommend getting one of those touch-up rollers that makes a 1/4" line to make it a lot easier to fix mistakes like mine. I frequently had concrete that formed a long, skinny bulge between where a new stamp line butted up to the previous stamp line, and a touch-up rollers would've saved me. Oh well; I chose weathered brick because I didn't want it to look perfect (and I hoped it would help hide mistakes, which it does).Besides that, all you need is a stamp release powder and a mason brush to dust it over the concrete before you stamp. Tip: use the brush to clear excess powder off your roller between stamps. It builds up and starts to interfere with the pattern.FYI, although I used tinted release powder and one of my pictures looks pretty red, the color really didn't take. Plan to stain if you want color. I'm going to etch, stain, and seal with a matte sealer.

Practice first
I bought this to make a brick wall over an existing cinder block wall that was a mess. It really does take some getting used to so make sure you practice on some scrap wood or sheet rock. I used pam cooking spray on the roller between applications. It will stick if you don't use something and you'll make quite a mess trying to fix it. Good luck!

nice tool
Unbalanced weighted embossing tool. The tool works but it is not balanced very well making it a little more difficult to get a perfect finish.

works
Works on stucco but there's a learning curve. Stucco can't be too wet or too dry, use lots of release agent (cooking spray works). Would be 5 stars if the roller and the brick print was a little bigger

Very unhappy with product
Roller did not roll smoothly and was just generally not at all worth it. Would not purchase again.
