LOVE LOVE LOVE this carrier!! I carry a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders but I LOVE baby wearing! I’ve tried all the carriers out there from the Moby wrap to the Ergo Baby and the MiaMily Hipster Essential is the only carrier that I can comfortable wear my baby in. It’s perfect for those fussy days where baby wants to be held 24/7 or when you don’t feel like getting the whole stroller out when shopping. And I love the versatility it has with all the different ways to wear it! When my daughter just wants to cuddle I can have her in front facing in, on our walks she can face out, and when I need to get things done around the house I can just toss her on my back and she is calm and happy!It has also come in handy on hikes with my toddler! After his legs get tired I can put him on my back and comfortable finish the hike! That hip seat seriously makes a world of difference!

I wanted a baby carrier that was easy to use, durable, soft to the touch, and sleek and design. I feel like this carrier hits home on every aspect that was important to me. A lot of baby carriers are bulky and look like a hiking backpack, but this one is very sleek and looks great while you’re using it. It is comfortable for both me and my baby, and I especially like the extra support from the seat. The pocket on the side is very convenient for my phone, and the pocket in the seat is convenient for my keys or a small toy for my baby. You can tell that this was well designed with both the carrier and the baby in mind.

I will preface this by saying we returned this and bought the Miamily Hipster instead. And that is the best carrier in the entire world in our opinion! But I digress...this would have been PERFECT except for 3 major flaws. First, the material doesn't breathe at all. Like, not even a little. And it's thick. So it literally holds in every ounce of body heat from you and your baby. Even with our baby dressed very light and us dressed light in fall temperatures it was WAY WAY too hot. Us and the baby started sweating within literally 2 minutes. Unless you live in a very cool or cold climate I don't think you're going to appreciate that. Also, the flap that is in front of the baby's face while facing out that is able to be folded down in every other model is unable to be folded down in this model because it is too rigid. Our son is 12 months old and almost as tall as a 2-year-old and it was still too high for him and basically covered his mouth and annoyed him. Lastly, the fact that this only has the regular straps around the waist and not the thick velcro strap was the deal breaker for us. And all of the pictures it doesn't look like that part goes very far, but it does. And even on my slender 6-ft tall husband who is very strong and athletic...it was very uncomfortable and he could not find any way to make it comfortable and it actually caused him pain because of how it kind of dug into him. In the Hipster model, though, all of those things are remedied and it is literally the perfect carrier! We hated to send this one back because we really wanted to love it and loved the sleek black look that matched all of our other baby items, but in the end, this just wouldn't have worked. I will say though, that it does take all of the pressure off of your back and shoulders and takes away any back pain you might have had from other carriers. We went through almost $2,000 worth of other big name brand carriers trying to find one that was comfortable and actually ergonomic for the parent as well, including extremely expensive hiking carrier backpacks. None of them took pressure or strain off of your shoulders or back as a parent and we could not imagine carrying a child and it feel more than maybe 20 minutes at a time. MiaMily is the only brand that we have found that actually is ergonomic for you as a parent and feels good on your back and shoulders! Our baby also absolutely loves our Miamily Hipster and actually cries when we go to take him out of it. I think that this model would probably be best for smaller babies that are facing in, but I think that when babies get older, like our 12 month old, that it's going to be uncomfortable because you're really going to start to feel that waist strap digging into you and it's not going to give you enough support. Plus, the flap in front of their face while facing out is pretty big issue for a baby who wants to see out and doesn't want something in front of their face or touching their face.

Extremely comfortable! the bottom support panel makes it strong and safe feeling. Even dad loves to wear it!

I wanted this carrier to work so badly. I’ve tried so many and unfortunately my almost 2year hated this carrier and cried when I put him in it. Way too small and I’m not sure how this would fit a 4year old. My search continues.
