This item will work with the DCE57D01 model.
You'll need to unscrew the plunger on the DCE57D01 and replace it with the plunger with this kit as the gear mechanism is smaller than the DCE57D01 allows. Then install the 10.1 inch tube. Otherwise, works perfect! It really is a seamless retrofit.

Its the right thing.
If you have a Dewalt 20v caulk gun with the large 28oz tube holder, this magnificent little addition will convert it to use the smaller 10oz cartridges. It has two parts: the plastic holder, apparently made out of wonder material that’s completely impervious to chewing on from a miniature Pinscher. And a toothed metal pusher rod that’s impervious to chewing on from my tweeker neighbor. Don’t ask. It’s a whole thing and the cops were called. So, yeah. It’s the two things in the picture.

Fits DEWALT 20V MAX* Cordless Caulking Gun, 29oz, Tool Only (DCE570B)
Worked great to convert my 29oz caulking gun to the 10oz size, saved buying a whole other bare tool.

It Does The Job... Mostly!
This works great to convert the larger 29oz gun to the 10oz with one catch... the teeth are def different on this one as stated in another review. With that, there is an easy solution, use the teeth from the larger tube! The 10z plunger and 10oz tube holder work perfectly, just toss the shorter set of teeth in the garbage! Still saves buying a whole new tool!

Fits properly
Fits correctly but the poker is fastened poorly on both the large and small version. The milwaukee is better built

Teeth aren’t the same
I like caulk. Especially the big caulk dispenser. I bought the Dewalt 29 ounce caulker, so I bought this kit to transfer to smaller 10 ounce caulker. In other words, I’m trying to be cheap and buy one head unit and exchange the barrel for the 10/29 ounce caulk, depending on what I’m using. I’m not rich, but I also don’t need two units. You can’t do that. They aren’t interchangeable, and here’s why.Problem: the teeth are not spaced the same on the 10 ounce caulk setup as the 29 ounce caulker. See the photo, and you will see the teeth do not align. While the tool will dispense caulk with these jacked-up teeth (29 ounce teeth on 10 ounce head unit), the tool does not function properly. And you are unable to adjust the plunger because of the improper spacing.I bought “used,” and I now understand why this was sent back. It’s going back again. I tried a “new” model and the same happened. Why Dewalt would set it up this way is beyond me. It’s dumb.As another review brilliantly points out (and saves you $200), you could buy the 29 ounce head and use the teeth from the 29 ounce head while changing the plunger when you convert to the 10 inch caulker. But you cannot use the teeth for the 10 inch caulk setup on the 29 inch head unit (or vice versa).Hoping this is helpful for you so you don’t have to go through the same garbage I did.
