Works OK, have a difficult time getting it to communicate with my phone but may? have a phone case that is supposed to be induction charging-friendly but difficult to find the right spot to set in for charging startup. Tried without the phone case, works better but still have to fiddle with to set it just right on the charging disk.

Now and then I buy something that is worth writing a review for. My charging port has been giving me problems for a couple of years on my iPhone8. I plug in the charging cable and I have to brush it out with a toothpick or do the tape trick to get it to work. It's over seven years old now, but I recently lost my job and I'm trying my best not to buy another phone just yet. But I knew at some point my luck will run out with the tricks and my phone wouldn't be able to be charged. It hit me last week that my model was the first to offer wireless charging, but I never purchased one. I read all the reviews and decided on this one because it comes with the special AC adapter that is needed. I read the warnings from other reviewers about cases and even the description for this one states that cases can interfere. I have a tough shell case with a shiny surface on the back. I thought worst-case scenario, I would take it out of the case to charge it. However, it works perfectly in the case. It charges about as fast as my wired charger. I didn't read anything in the box. I plugged it in and placed my phone centered over the top. It's worked perfectly each time. I will update if anything changes anytime soon. For now, five stars, wish I would have bought one of these six years ago and saved wear and tear on my charging port. By the way, expect a little more heat on the back of the phone when you take it off charge. That's just the nature of a wireless charger. Energy exerts heat. Buy one, you will like it.

I'm 100% positive that this charger had caused my phone battery to swell for my Samsung Galaxy Note s20 + Ultra. My phone never had a problem in the 4 years that I owned it until I had this charger on it. The phone battery swelled, causing the backing to completely pop off even the camera during a charging session. The phone in the image is what happened to, take a close look and notice how badly it ripped apart.I took it to AT&T -- my phone provider -- and they had confirmed that it was the charging station that it was on. They informed me not to use a charging station like this, as it's more likely to cause these problems if it's a third party device and not the actual Samsung product. Lesson learned. I had just paid off my phone too several months ago, so for this to happen now I'm really disappointed.I'd give this 0 starts if I could, and I'd note that this does NOT stop charging the device once it has reached 100%. The phone is still charging, allowing the phone an opportunity to overheat while you're sleeping. Make sure to have your adaptive battery settings turned on if you haven't done so; I've done this now with my new phone, and won't go looking back to a full 100% charge.
