Works with Sennheiser SDW5015 and Yealink t42s
Initially tried the EHS36 adapter for my T42s and Sennheiser SDW 5015. While that combination worked, there was a slight echo of my voice in my heaset that was offputting. Researched further and saw that for that combo, the EHS40 is recommended. It connects in 1 minute and echo was resolved. Much better than a lifter.

Makes my job so much easier.
At work we have Yealink phones and Plantronics headsets but I could only answer headset from phone at my desk. With this device I can answer while away from my desk. Makes my job so much easier.

Great adaptor. Works well with Yealink! Doesn't need lifter. A great solution.
Great product to address Plantronic Headsets with Yealink Phones.

Sound quality diminishes over time
I have a Plantronics Savi 8220 headset and it was connected to a Yealink T46S phone using an older EHS36 adapter and several cables. This worked well but when the EHS40 came out, it looked like a better solution since there was now just a single USB connection to the phone. It is a much cleaner and easier install with no mistakes by the end-users about how to connect the headset. The problems started pretty soon after replacing the EHS36 when users complained about crackling audio. If you disconnect the EHS40 from the phone and reconnect, then the sound goes back to normal for a period of time which seems to be completely random. Also, we noticed that if the phone goes through a re-provision or is rebooted, the phone no longer recognizes the adapter until the EHS40 is removed and plugged back into the phone.EDIT: I purchased the PLT APU-76 adapter and have had no audio issues and no problems after a phone reboot with the adapter not being recognized. If you have a compatible Plantronics headset and Yealink phone, I recommend this adapter instead. https://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-APU-Adapter-Switch-CBL/dp/B07GC6PFYD/?keywords=Apu-76

Couldn’t have been easier.
Perfect product. Makes using a Sennheiser headset with a Yealink phone a breeze. Way easier than the Polycom phone adapters.
