This brand was purchased for me when I was in Italy as the "best" to make risotto and it was. I was very happy to find the brand here in the States, but not so happy with the price. That being said, I do not know how much it was in Italy as it was given to me as a gift, but I will purchase it periodically as it is awesome. I used it (the gift package) to make my first real attempt at mushroom risotto and it got rave reviews and I found it very easy to make. I used my own homemade chicken stock so altogether a winning combination.

First time using this rice to make risotto. Our mushroom risotto turned out very creamy and good.
