I am so thankful! We bought a used laptop from a friend over a year ago. I had planned to set it up for my dad, but I got side tracked. Finally, when my dad's desktop died, I had to pull out our new purchase and get the laptop all set-up, so he could use it!!! We eventually bought him a new desktop. When my laptop was stolen and the laptop saved the day again. Unfortunately, last month the power cord that came with it died. Why am I telling you this? Because I had no idea what kind of cord to buy and I realized in my hunt that neither do some other folks!!! I tried buying the cord that was supposed to fit my laptop, and it didn't fit at all. It wouldn't stay plugged into my laptop!!!So, I looked at the voltage on the old cord (18.5 volts), the connector type (mine is a 3 prong) and the end that plugs into the laptop (I eventually realized that the correct end is 4.8mm x 1.7mm.) And yes, I tried measuring it!!!After many searches and 2 or 3 other purchases, I found this laptop cord, and bought it. It arrived today and it works perfectly. I am so pleased!!! I would almost buy another one of these, but I can't use them both at the same time.The item that I am reviewing is a 18.5Volt 65W AC Laptop Power Cord. The laptop power cord that I bought with the 5.5mm x 1.7mm connector fit and charged my laptop quite well, but it created static interference in my speakers every time I tried to listen to a video, play a how-to, or listen to my radio.I am so thankful that I bought my "NEW" Laptop and found this power/charging cord to replace the one that died!!!GREAT LAPTOP AC ADAPTER POWER/CHARGING CORD!!!

It's working great! The best bag for the buck when it came to total length, the three prong power outlet and extra velcro cord wrap provided.

Got to my home quickly and fits the unit perfectly.

I was skeptical it would work but it does and I'm very happy. Make sure to read the back label of your laptop for amps and wattage because I almost bought the wrong one

This charging cable works perfectly and arrived quickly. I've ordered many replacement cables and I find many run hot, which may or may not mean anything bad, but I don't use them if they do. This one doesn't do that so I'm confident that it's working.
