We hung it side ways, I guess you could say.It goes from left to right.Speed is great ! It moves some air. I bought this as a Father’s Day gift for my garage loving husband ❤️❤️we will be buying one more just to move more air !He wanted a different brand, but I could only afford what I could as a stay at home with very little income. He loves it!!!!!!

Good fan, fair quiet, that pushes a surprising amount of air.
Good fan. Pushes a lot of air. Only problem was the order was for two and only one fan arrived although I was charged for two. Amazon made it right and credited me back for the error. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.
