Custom what ever?
I've used these on a few bikes. They work great combining turn/brake signals but I've found a few other uses. I was thinking to make a very long trailer type plug for things I may have to tow in the future. Good to have an extra 1 around.

Wish It Was Better
I would have gladly paid more for a better quality product. Size and function were just what I needed. The wires are hair thin. I soldered heavier wires to them so I could attach this into my wiring. Adhesive is not great, I used a couple of zip ties to make it stick and will probably use some weather strip adhesive to secure it. Brightness is marginal. The brake light function was all I wanted from it, and it doesn’t stand out at all. It’s just an additional brake light for me, so I left it installed. I would have paid two or three times the price for a brighter, better made piece.

Wiring
I will be using this on my motorcycle top trunk as an auxiliary brake light. So it doesn't need top reliability - my bike already has excellent standard brake lights. I just want to up my visibility.Right now I'd like to talk about wiring it up. I saw a few reviews which claim that it "doesn't work right", or work as advertised. That isn't true. The symptoms I read indicated that either the light had been wired incorrectly, or that it's expected to blink all on its own. It doesn't, it simply lights up subsets of the LEDS depending on which wire(s) are powered. It's very straightforward, as shown in one of the pictures above. Black is negative, common to all. Red is for brake. The turn signals on each side have their own wires. And the running light has its own wire. It's up to the person installing to match these wires with the appropriate wires on the motorcycle or trailer or wherever it's getting installed. The turn signal LEDs will blink only if you wire them to the vehicle turn signal wires which blink. Running lights, brakes, same thing. As a test, I connected this to a 12v power supply and tried every wire. Left and right turn lights, running light, brake light. Each worked as they are supposed to. And if I powered more than one wire, more than one light set lit up.Since I can only get at the brake light wire on my bike I thought I'd try connecting running and brake together to see if would be a little brighter. But it wasn't. I guess the only smarts in this thing is using the same LEDs for both, and only brightening them when the brake is on.If your vehicle uses CANBUS, and that directly controls the brake/turn lights, you'll probably need to buy a different product.

Wires are small and weak. Adhesive sucks.
The adhesive sucks and doesn't stick ended up using zip ties. The wires were really small and weak. The positive wire broke off internally after a days use and I sent it back. Would not recommend.
