Yale P-77-ENB-PB-60 - Traditional Nightlatch - 60mm - Electro Nickel Brass Finish - Standard Security

The lock works great! The problem is not being able to have duplicate keys made in my location. No home improvement stores have the Yale blank to make this key. Because sometimes you need more than just 2 keys! This may not be a problem US wide, but in my locale, there is nothing in my area.

I ordered this lock to replace one that had broken and the new one fit perfectly where the old one was.

The lock was what I hoped it would be. It fit the door, where the other Yale lock was. My problem, no body can make extra keys. No place (I am talking 8so far) has the Yale blank. This is creating a big problem. The locksmith has found he can order the blank for keys in Europe. Very expensive to get extra keys. Going to try a new cylinder so keys can be made local. Just know this Yale lock has to go thru customs and comes from Australia. Locksmith have Yale locks. Sorry I found this out too late

The lock works well and was easy to install. I had it put on a door to my workshop.

Better than I could get from the big box stores. Solid and high quality.Crap from the big box stores are complete junk.

Love the lock system - hate the utter lack of availability of key blanks

This lock doesn't have the same quality that Yale locks had years ago. First, This lock was not made in England as were our 150 Year Old house's locks were. I could not find a manufacturer's County of origin on any component or label that came with this lock. It looks like an inferior copy of the one I was replacing. One example is that instead of a brass finish, the components of this lock were painted with a wheat colored paint.Once installed I had two unusual problems. The first issue was and trying to get it to latch correctly. Despite it being a direct replacement of the 20+ year old lock, the latching components wouldn't line up. I ended up carving out an area in the 100 year old door to make it work. The other issue I had with this lock was getting duplicate keys made.. Apparently the type of key that this uses is not normally kept in stock at home centers and locksmiths. When we went to get copies of the key made the local locksmiths told us they would have to special order the blanks to make copies. I ended up using the old lock's lock barrel.I suppose if you are looking for a lock that looks vintage for a new door, this lock should do the trick for you. If you want a direct replacement for one that was manufactured in England 20 or more years ago, it is not a direct replacement.

I bought this to replace my old lock that had a spring broke. I was a perfect fit.
