Doesn’t not work well on our golden doodle. He has thick curly hair. I ended up selling these on fb market place and bought an Andis clipper. Much better for my dogs hair type. They might work well with other breeds and other hair types.Be sure to buy the cooking spray. These get very hot quickly.On a positive note they are well made. Very heavy duty. Easy to hold and use.

I only used the clippers 2 times and today this broke. It is one of gears. After contacting Oster directly on two occasions I was told there was nothing they can do. For me take it to a repair enter. Really?? Oster products have lost my business for life.

Great little clipper ,,, I had no problem clipping the mats out of my cat . It is important to clip right next to the skin. Clippers just can't cut through a mat... They are quiet and very smooth.. not big .. They do warm up because they are cutting nicely , just put some lube on the blades. I will use these on my long haired cat, Angora bunnies and my border collie .. And the horses..

This clipper cut through my cats thick matted undercoat like butter. I'd tried 2 other clippers that barely haggled through much to both my and Ezies frustration. I did have to use two new blades so was glad I'd bought a spare. I'm going to keep her clipped, she looks so much better. The #10 blade leaves just a nice short soft covering.
