I am a long-distance ocean swimmer. I tried the googles made by TYR for years. They are made for the pool not ocean swimming. These cover your face for without leaks (just clean them with toothpaste before you go out in the ocean, every time so they don't leak). The plastic ear covers stop the pounding on your ears from the motion of the ocean/ waves. That cuts down on the washing-machine effect of the noise and it stops water from getting into your ears causing infections. It took my about 5 years of swimming to find these. Soft plastic so the mask does not hurt your face. They are a little small for my face, I should have bought extra large instead of large but I can live with that. 400 miles to go within 3 years and I hit 1000 miles by the time I am 64.

Being a certified scuba diver has always been on my bucket list, but I've had a Eustachian tube dysfunction my entire life which gives me trouble with equalizing my ears. I didn't think I'd ever be able to pursue my bucket list item until I found this dive mask.Just as an FYI, no diving instructor in their right mind would allow anyone with Eustachian tube dysfunction to dive underwater. Just as a precaution, my doctor recommended that if I'm able to equalize past 10 ft of water I should be fine.After asking a dive master friend of mine and clearing with my instructor, I decided to get this dive mask and let me tell you that it's a game changer and a life changing piece of equipment!Not only was I able to easily equalize at 2m, 6m, 8m, and 12m, I was able to dive all the way down to 35m with this mask without issues.I'm super happy with it and it will be my go-to mask for life. Great for snorkeling. I developed Eustachian tube dysfunction and problems with me eardrums. This mask makes it possible to snorkel again. The ear parts fit well and stay in place. It is easy to put on and is comfortable.

Went diving today for the first time with this mask it did good and it did keep water out of my ears however I suggest diving without a snorkel The ear covers are a little bit awkward especially when you have a snorkel floating around and pulling on them they were prone to leak and did get a little bit a water in the cup but overall they did good and my ears were much dryer. at least you don’t have that pressurized water pushing in your eardrum. I really didn’t notice much of a difference in trying to equalize. I recommend getting the darker ones. I got the clear ones because I thought it would be easier to see my Peripheral vision but it really didn’t work that way I couldn’t see things on the left and right.The clear side kind of magnified and reversed what ever was there. So you still need to turn your head to see. I think the black set might be a little more sturdy.

I had seen this mask and thought it might work for me in a pool. You see, I do not swim and do not like water, but I have a cousin who has an above ground pool that is so relaxing I have learned to like it. But I was wanting something that I could possibly use to help me learn to swim. My issue is mainly with my eyes - they burn even with just plain water (don't even get me started on how I take a shower). Also, I have BPPV and getting water in my ears can further upset my balance. So this mask, when I saw it in person, looked like the perfect solution to my problems. It fits me beautifully and works great. I read all the reviews and since I have short hair, that is not a problem for me around the ears, like some have mentioned. Good product - glad I bought it!

DO NOT BUY THIS...DO NOT BUY THIS...DO NOT BUY THISI tried this mask on two different dives. The first dive had a max depth of 32 meters. Around 15 meters the pressure got so much that I had to switch to the spare mask that I brought with me.The second dive had a max depth of 16 and I was able to keep it on for the entire dive but could feel the pressure being more than my normal mask.I ended up throwing it away after the second dive since I cannot return it any more and the ear section cannot be removed without creating a leak.Complete waste of money.DO NOT BUY THIS....DO NOT BUY THIS...DO NOT BUY THIS

Have had ear troubles for 40 years. Took up scuba late in life and found these to see if they would help with equalization of my ears during dives. Super happy to report they work as advertised. Make sure you get a good seal around your ears and if should really help you get to depth. This isn't the mask you want to take off and put on underwater for your certification but no problem with flooding the mask and purging it once submerged. Wish I had another pair on the my last dive to help friends on the boat overcome pressure issues.

The ear covers will seal sometimes and not at other times so I ended up getting water in my ear a couple of times while snorkeling. The mask does not always sit well on my face but it is comfortable. I think the hair close to my ears interferes with the seal and probably to only option is to shave that area. What I did find out is I am not willing to have water get into my ear with the tube in it when I am at depth. It really hurt when it got in as I was diving down during snorkeling and I don't want to experience that kind of pain while diving.
