Updated review: I discovered that this is denatured with a mix of additives including Acetone. I was cleaning pet food splatters and it melted the paint on the wall. So, in the following original review I no longer consider it good for mixing with essential oils. Good antiseptic but not as a solvent to clean anything sensitive to Acetone…* I use this to mix with essential oils to make home made perfume. This is a good percentage ethanol for that purpose. *You can also use this for antiseptic cleaning, for which it is intended. From my experience, 70% ethanol is an essential amount to sterilize surfaces and skin. That paired with 10% sodium hypochlorite will sterilize almost any viral or bacterial pathogen.

Good stuff. I use it to clean containers for wax before I use them, and it works perfectly. I find all of Amazon's products to be of good quality.

What a disaster of a product. I agree with other reviewers: Amazon should either remove this product from its website, or place a large visible warning on the front label as to its other harmful ingredients, or simply label the product with "WARNING: NOT FOR USE ON SKIN".Like others, I wanted a rubbing alcohol that is safer for skin use than typical isopropyl-based rubbing alcohol. Innocently, like others,I figured this this product would be identical in formulation to typical 70% rubbing alcohol, only using ethyl alcohol instead of isopropyl. IT IS NOT. This product contains ACETONE, METHYL ISOBUTYL KETONE, and DENATONIUM BENZOATE and should most definitely NOT be used as a skincare product. Of course it didn't occur to me until later that most alcoholic beverages are made from ethyl alcohol (ethanol), and so any ethanol-based rubbing alcohol must contain additives to deter anyone looking to repurpose this as a drinking alcohol. Fine. Make it taste nasty.But what I don't appreciate is that they didn't simply formulate this product to taste nasty to deter knuckleheads from making beverages with it. Instead, they went further and made this product TOXIC and effectively useless for skincare. AVOID if you're looking for a simple, safer rubbing alcohol solution for skincare. This ain't it. Waste of money.

This product doesn't smell too strongly like alcohol, just a light scent and it works great to disinfect our kitchen granite tops. It also cleaned our bathroom granite counter tops perfectly too! Left a shine that makes them look brand new.I mixed 1 cup of cold water, 1-2 small drops of dish washing liquid, and 4 Tablespoons of rubbing alcoholin a spray bottle. Used a clean microfiber cloth, sprayed the cloth and wiped away. We use it daily for this need and we are pleased with the results!A happy customer of rubbing alcohol!
