I did not know this existed until I was trying to find additional security on a door that opened outwards in a rental property.I live alone and knowing many people have a key to my door makes me uncomfortable. This has added a ton of security for me to use at night or when I’m home. I know I still have to let the landlord and maintenance in of course, but this prevents surprise visits when I may be showering or such.Now I only wish it could work remotely as well (smart lock).It was incredibly easy to install. Only required the type of screw driver your deadbolt uses. You loosen the deadbolt casing and slip this over it. Then tighten it up again. It’s about a 5 minute install and no damage to the door.The best part is there were a few times someone tried to come in unexpectedly and they worked perfectly. So they’ve already proven themselves.I’m definitely going to have these on all my exterior doors going forward.

Was easy to install. I live in a large older apartment complex & who knows who has a key. Feel much better knowing maintenance (who show up unexpectedly) can’t let themselves in when I’m in the shower. Highly recommend this product.

Wow, easy to install and good concept for safety. You'll have to use a sludge hammer to unbolt the door.

Exactly what we needed to keep our dogs from locking us out!The ultra simple design made for an incredibly easy install. Loosened the two screws on existing deadbolt and slipped the backing rings in place, tightened screws and that was it!All solid steel design is excellent quality. No plastic or gears to shred. Can't beat the price either!We have ours positioned so our dogs cannot tap the deadbolt lever to lock out of the house without our keys. Lever stays locked in the open position.Security Flap opens effortlessly and the lever can easily be turned into the lock position at night or whenever.Highly recommended!

Very easy to install and easy to use. Bump-proof your locks! The locking lever is easy to use yet also will stay in any position you wish with friction. One you get into the habit of flipping over the locking tab it's fine. In COVID times we're happy to add these to our doors for a little bit more protection. Easily removed later. WARNING: when you activate these additional locks, you lock yourself out of those doors even with keys. If you do this with all of your doors, you will HAVE to enter through the garage or break a window to enter your house.

Fabulous solution for outswinging (due to hurricanes) Florida doors and inswinging doors as well doesn't matter it works with both. Steel and Strong.To install, merely loosen the two screws on your dead bolt plate, slide this half circle plate and the hinged plate under the deadbolt's front plate, so they meet together (have to be oriented to fit correctly) under your deadbolt. One of the maintenance lost their master keys at our complex and they won't replace everyone's locks. They swept the situation under the rug.This will work wonders during night time and you can sleep in peace knowing that even someone with a key cannot unlock the door.I would also suggest replace the default half inch screws to the plate and the dead lock with 4 inch exterior screws. And make sure that the plate side hits the king stud. That way if they were to kick the door, they dont have to just break the door casing, they have to fight with the screws into the studs as well.Another small guy was about to get through those red handled motel door travel locks. This works so much betterEdit: works great. Easily able to remove during rental inspections and easily installable again. You would break the key before breaking this device.
