If I had read some of the reviews before ordering this shovel, I probably would not have ordered it. When I saw in the advertisement that the shovel is made in China, I almost didn't order it, but I'm so glad that I did! I can think of only two shortcomings, but they are far outweighed by the strength of this shovel, its extra hidden tools, its functionality, and its price. I give it 5/5 stars and highly recommend it.The shovel head is about 4 1/4" by 5" and was accurately described in the listing, although somehow I thought it would be bigger. The other thing that I did not like is the "compass"; mine did not have a needle, so it is nonfunctional, but I didn't expect to rely on it anyway.As a whole, the shovel and handle are made of a strong metal, so unless one beats it against a boulder, I think it will excel in performing its intended tasks. It fits very easily into a sturdy shovelhead-shaped bag to slide onto one's belt. I was extremely pleased to see how sturdy and strong this little shovel is. I especially liked the fact that you can bend both the shovel head and the pick. Hidden within the handle pieces are a whistle, little saw and little cutting blade. The package comes with easy-to-read and diagramed assembly instructions which show you where the extra survival features are hidden.

The head is quite small but the shovel is nicely built, I carry it in my jeep for emergencies, if you are looking for a fuller sized shovel then this is not for you, but if you just want a small, lightweight, tactical, emergency shovel then this is worth every penny! In Idaho the US Forest service require you to carry a shovel and a water bucket. They even came around camp once handing out foldable water buckets!

It work , but wish they have a bigger one, but it too late to exchange , because I used already.

Quality seems to be there. Seems to be a good value for the money. Light weight and compact. I was looking for one that has a pick as well so this fit the bill. It can be used with the pick or shovel folded down or both out at the same time. I’d buy it again if shopping for one.

When I first saw the shovel, I didn't like it until I used it. It works well for the purposes I purchased it for. Great product for me.

I bought this shovel for metal detecting. It has a shovel head that is small enough to do minimal damage when digging out found targets. I do my best to not damage the ground when digging and this definitely has a small impact. It is very well-built and breaks down into a small case that fits on my belt. It is heavy-duty and sturdy as heck. It is a well-constructed tool and I would highly recommend it to anyone metal detecting. I would also add that I received stellar customer service. There was nothing wrong with the product but I contacted the seller to discuss something I thought would help with the product. I received an email reply very quickly from Winwiz Direct the seller I was emailing with Ora and was blown away at their response. They were so receptive to my concern and offered a solution immediately. They sent me a couple of parts that made a great product better suited for my use at no charge. I have never had customer service anything like this before. It's a great product and has awesome customer service. Very happy with both.

Very cheap. Might work well in loose soil with no rocks but will break when put to the test in rough environments. My shovel broke trying to get a smaller rock out of the ground, would not shovel easily and the pick was bending as well. Do not buy if you are an out-in-the-woods camper.

I thought it was going to be equal to a military entrenching tool - Nope. This is very small. I will give it to my wife for a gardening tool. Not doing better research is my fault. My grandkids might like playing with it also.
