MINKA-AIRE F524-WHF Roto 52 Inch Ceiling Fan 3 Blades in Flat White Finish

I was looking for a fan that would really cool off my bedroom, as well as look sleek and not draw a lot of attention to it. Well this fan was perfect. I got it in white so it almost "blends" in to the ceiling and looks very light and airy. Best of all, it cools the room off very well. There are 4 settings, and we have used this fan some nights that we would otherwise have to have used the air conditioner. You can really feel it moving air. The fan is very quiet, but you sometimes hear the air moving (but not the fan motor). There is no remote, it comes with a wall switch.Great fan - looks good and keeps up cool!

I love this fan. It works well looks great and fades away into ceiling. This is just what I was wanted.

I purchased three 52" Minka ceiling fans, despite the average reviews, because they were the only ones I could find with a modern, minimalistic design that suited the space in my new house. Unfortunately, after just a few months of very sporadic use, two of the fans have started making an unacceptable amount of noise. Additionally, one of them seems to interfere with the electrical circuit, causing the lights to dim on and off whenever I turn it on.Now, I’ll have to replace all three fans, resulting in a total loss of my investment. The quality has been disappointing, and these issues have made the fans more of a hassle than they’re worth. I would strongly recommend potential customers look elsewhere for a more reliable product."

Simple, quiet, great fan. I wanted less blades because the room isn't that big and I didn't want the fan to be the focal point. It blends great with the ceiling without shrinking the room. It puts out so much air, you don't really need to turn it up very much. Has a wall mount switch with four settings. Four being the slowest. Great investment. Makes no noise at all. I'd love to replace all the fans throughout my house with this kind.

I looked forever for a flat white, non glossy fan that had no light kit. This is the one! It blends in nicely with the ceiling and is very quiet. We purchased the remote separately. This one comes with a wall/fan switch. You can either use the included wall/fan switch or the remote, not both. We decided to get the remote. Basically you just leave the regular wall light switch on all the time and control the fan with the remote. I love this fan. I hate the look of fans overall, but this one does the job without being obvious. A+

Reasonably priced. Louder than anticipated on the higher settings, but no weird rattles. Think low hair dryer type of thing. Nothing crazy. Definitely pushes the air around and gets the job done. Love the wall mount for control so no one can lose the remote. Bought to match the 65” we have in our living room.

I do love these ceiling fans. They are modern and minimal which was exactly what I wanted in a ceiling fan, I hate traditional ceiling fans. Its relatively quiet as well, it does make a hum sound when its on but it doesn't increase when the fan is turned up. They are super effective in small to medium size rooms. We had them installed during the summer and they made a huge different in both rooms (we live in CA).The reason for the 4 stars is the wall switch for the fan is faulty. I purchase 2 of these and both the switches do the same thing in both rooms, when you turn the fan on or up you can see the sparks between the fan speed level switches, maybe all switches are like this but are hidden behind a plate, I am not sure but this feels dangerous.Also I tried asking if there are any remotes that are compatible with this fan and never heard back.

I need to adjust my earlier, more positive review. In about a year of gentle use, the fan has developed constant humming and clicking sounds when operated at the intermediate speeds (3 & 4). Either one of those would normally be the preferred mode but the noise is driving us nuts. It is a pity because the fan is otherwise great, doing what it is supposed to do and looking elegant in addition.We also purchased the "Minka-Aire F739L-WHF Pancake XL 62 Inch LED Ceiling Fan with DC Motor" for another room. That one makes no noise at all. The huge downside of that fan is that it intermittently stops working, and has already done this five times since we purchased it less than a year ago. This also means that we have no light in our dining room. We have already paid at least $500 to electricians, who have sometimes been able to get it back to operation for a couple of days at least. It is, perhaps, no surprise that Minka has discontinued this model. Minka customer service was willing to replace the remote (this one only operates via remote) but this did not help, unfortunately. When I wrote to customer service again asking if I could send back the fan for a replacement, they did not reply. I need two more fans for other rooms, and will be trying out a different brand.
