This paint works well.
2021 Mazda Cx5 Red.What I like: color match is good. Easy to apply. Took a couple of coats. What I don't like: nothingOther: It looks quite dull after applying but after a few wash/wax jobs at the local automatic car wash it doesn't look quite as dull.Would I buy it again: yes

Results impressed me.
Don't expect a miracle from a simple pen. But someone hit the door on my brand new Mazda and that removed a bit of the paint on it, leaving a white spot. With this pen I managed to cover up and now its not noticeable anymore. I also covered another not so deep scratch and it worked nice. Shake the pen well for few minutes before applying and follow the instructions closely. Again it will not stay 100% for that only sanding the entire part and doing a professional paint job on it, but it will give satisfactory results. I strongly recommend this product.

Soul red color is near impossible to match, but biggest complaint is lack of brush
This is not much different than a paint pen from a craft store with a chisel tip. At one end is the red paint and at the other is the clear coat. The soul red is nearly impossible to match with touch up paint, so I'm not marking off for that. The color of this pen is close enough to hide chips and some scratches without noticing the color difference unless you're looking pretty closely. My complaint, and the reason for the lower star count, is that the chisel tip paint pen is WAY more difficult to work with than some other touch up paint brands that include a small brush (similar to a nail polish brush). A brush is flexible and can be worked into different shapes to match the chip, while this stiff chisel tip paint pen is one shape the whole time making delicate detail touch ups extremely difficult. With a small brush, you could apply the paint inside the chip and use a toothpick, or similar super fine tip device to spread the paint into the oddly shaped chip edges. With this pen, you're lucky if the paint will stay within the chip, or if it goes on top of the surrounding paint too, due to the length (width?) of the tip.

Results may very
The instructions clearly state that a touch up paint won’t be as good as their calibrated robots that paint them perfectly in the factory. Paint fades and ages. So I can see why some people didn’t get good results. Me on the other hand, I couldn’t be happier. I painted my RX-7 46V soul red crystal and had a couple paint chips from various whoopsies around the garage. This matched perfectly with the recommended 2 base coats and one top coat stated in the instructions.

Too thin.
It's super thin like water. Looks like water color paint, won't even fill in the scratch with color. I thought I didn't shake it enough so I shook it for 5 minutes and nothing changed. Waste of money!

Soul Red Crystal touch up!
Easy to use with clear instructions. Pen has two tips, they explain how to use in the instructions. I recommend using the black tip side for most small scratches, this is the deep red and will mask nearly everything, IMO its risky to use the over-coat (red) tip side, I put just a dab on and it made it more obvious than just using the black tip side; it is noted in the instructions that its almost impossible to have it match perfectly due to the special painting procedure that Mazda uses...I thought, how bad can it be...I'll just 'dab' it on...You live and you learn, its not in a super obvious part of the car, I put anther layer of red on top and that helped a bit. Note: There is a paint batch number, this number happened to match that on my car, which is a 2023, there are different batches of paint that are a little bit different from year to year, be sure to get one that matches.

Does what its supposed to
When you first apply instructions don't tell you to lightly sand area but its helpful to do so the paint adheres better. Keep in mind the area you touch up will never 100% match original shade and quality. It's meant to cover the area to reduce the unpleasant look and most of all protect from rust and further wear. I would recommend 2 coats of base coat and 3 coats of top coat. Light dabs will be much better than a thick single coat. I'm happy with it.
