Provides a HOT HOT heat if left in microwave longer than 3 minutes
I rarely give a review on anything or my opinion for that matter. I’m a 62 year old male with arthritis in my lower back - it’s not painful but it’s a discomfort that makes a challenge to get a good night’s sleep especially during the winter months which are known to be lengthy.I have no affiliation with this item whatsoever. I’ve had physical therapy, heating pads, chiropractor appointments, acupuncture and have done every stretching exercise that there is for the lower back. This item here, can get HOT… and it’s a surprisingly moist wet heat. I’ve bought A LOT of items on the market and this one is better than all of themJust my opinion

Better than the others!
These heating pads are amazing. I have a set of my own and I bought a set for 2 other people because I love them so much. They give a moist heat which makes such a difference. They stay hot for quite a while and are flexible enough to fit closely to the area that needs it. I’ve had my own for over 5 years and they still look like new, very durable and easy to clean. They are the best heating pads I’ve ever used.

Not the best..
It’s a little light on the filling. Each cell is not filled. It’s hard to adjust as each cell drains to the side and doesn’t hold its shape and heat is uneven.

Great warm moist heat for sciatica pain relief + EXCELLENT company customer service!!!
I've been struggling with sciatica in my right calf for over 3 years. I've tried many things and during some Physical Therapy, they used heat to help soften/loosen my muscles prior to manual manipulation/massage.I guess PT places use a special "hydroculator" unit which produces moist heat in a special manner. You can get one for home for like $1k but hahaha I wasn't willing to spend that. So I found this heating pad which produces similar moist heat and provides comparable relief. The pad stays heated for a long time, it heats evenly, and it has a nice medium weight to it. which I like when laying on my stomach and having it rest on my lower back. That helps it stay in place if I shift a little bit.I've also used it for "icing" and put it in the freezer. Be sure to put it in a zip-lock back to avoid it absorbing any smells from other things in the freezer.Overall it's a great heating pad, and moreover, the company and customer service is excellent! It developed a break in one of the seams and beads started falling out here and there. I tried things like tape but then you can't really microwave it.So I recently got a "marketing" email company checking in to see how everything is going... I wrote back not expecting a response for a day or two; but shockingly got a reply in 30 minutes!!! Joyce at the company offered to send a replacement right away, and said I'd get it in about a week. Low and behold it arrived literally 2 days later! I appreciate that the company has the customer's back and is willing to do the right thing to stand behind the quality of their productsHighly recommended!!!

really helps soothe my lower back pain
I bought this about 2 months ago and have used it many times. I bought it to help me with my lower back pain and I'm really loving it. it's so much quicker to get it ready for use than the old heating pad I used that I needed to boil. I rarely used that 1 because I hated waiting for it to heat up, but this new 1 is ready in just a few minutes so I'm using it much more often. the only thing you have to do is keep an eye on it while heating it up. the instructions say to heat it for short periods of time until you get it to the desired temp (2x at 1:30 each, and then 30 second increments until you get it to the temp you want) I don't really want to just pop it in for a single 4 or 5 min run and find out that it ruins the pad so I'm happy to do it manually. this pad helps me so much, I use it mainly at night while I'm sitting down to watch some TV and after about 5 mins of use my back is already feeling much better. the quality of the materials used seems to be pretty good too. buying on Amazon seems to be a gamble as to whether you get something that is cheap junk or well made and this pad is definitely well made. I don't see this pad wearing down any time soon. I would recommend this brand to friends and family without hesitation.
