Q: Are these steel toe boots ?

No, they are composite toe. They are still safety toe boots, just made of non-metal materials.

Q: Are these somewhat fireproof? I do a lot of welding and little pieces of hot metal always falls on my shoes

I've had them for around a year and haven't had any issue with them as I am a pipefitter so I'm constantly throwing sparks weather it's cutting, grinding, or welding and they are comfortable

Q: Are they narrow or tight in the toe box?

We went with an 11 Wide Fits true to size and incredibly comfortable! I highly recommend!
