Good vacuum at the price
Purchased the pond vacuum cleaner for cleaning my garden pond which was slightly neglected and contained a significant amount of pond sludge and debris. The vacuum was straightforward to assemble. As my pond is at ground level and reading the instructions when in use I elevated the vacuum as it cycles between vacuuming and then emptying the waste via a hose which in my case was into the surrounding flower borders. The vacuum sucks rubbish out of the pond for approximately 30 seconds then emptys via the bottom of the main vacuum container through a flexible plastic hose. The vacuum is strong and sucks all types of debris including gravel which all larger debris is caught inside the vacuum in a net type bag with a zipped base for easy disposal of the rubbish which I leave to dry before placing in the rubbish bin.So far I have used the vacuum cleaner three times each time increasing the amount of dirt removed from the pind. You may ask why it is necessary for the repeated use which is as a result of the cleaning process a significant amount of the dirt is stirred up in the pond and then has to be left to sink back to the bottom of the pond for collection. The vacuum is supplied with three attachments which is useful depending on where and what you are cleaning in the pond.End of use cleaning is straight forward most of the items require a quick rinse with a bucket of water the debris catchment bag and sponge filter can be washed with a bit of soapy water. Leave everything to dry and place everything in the utensil slots on the base and all hoses fit into the main body so all is self contained.Negatives. I consider the debris capture bag to be a little too large so when a significant amount of debris is collected the bag is large enough to obstruct the waste water outlet which slows down the emptying cycle. It is early days but not sure as to the robustness of the flexible cleaning hose as it appears a little lightweight for sustained use.Overall the vacuum does a good job at a reasonable price

It does leave the pond clean .
Its my husbands .i have ask him repeatedly how good it is . I got the gist eventually. Its slow because you have to wait about 30 seconds every time it empties . Does it leave the pond clean ? Well yes. . Sorry , thats all the info I've gleaned so far . He is coming up 70 so it may be him who’s slow and making him take half a day in case I get round to asking him to give me a hand indoors. I’m 73 . Maybe he needs a new circuit board .. only joking ..

Has been a great asset for cleaning pong. Wish the drain hose was longer.Worked well for a year but now doesn't work.

Great pond vac!
I wanted an affordable pond vac that was easy to use with good suction. I ordered it thinking it would go back, but it is so good, I kept it.Just what I recieved. Great power and gets rid of all the rubish quickly. Very easy to use and set up. I did a clean yesterday in 15 mins from start to finish. The only thing I dont like is that it starts for 20 seconds then stops for 20. That said, it does have to dump water. I am used to it and I would buy it again.

A bit mucky.
Being a novice to this kind of machine I found it quite easy to set up and get going. The actual performance seems to not match the promotional material, in that this pump has clear limitations in what it can pump out of a pond. For me the real disappointment is that the collecting bag fills up very quickly ( it needs to be much bigger) and as it is a 'net' bag a large amount of the silt passes right through and either goes back into the pond or over whatever area the bag is located on. I can see how to remedy this by altering the process of pumping out, but whilst the pump itself is reasonably efficient the 'collection' of debris and return of the pond water water part of the overall process needs a complete rethink to achieve, for me, an acceptable result. I accepted the task was going to be messy and mucky but I regret to say it is far more mucky and messy than it could be if the debris collection and water return were managed more efficiently.

Good addition.
This is nice and powerful for the price, it is s little slow but it gets the job done, cleaned the bottom of my pond very well which is 1meter deep.

PondMaster Pond Vacuum 1400w
WARNING - This is NOT a true PRIME item - covers delivery ONLY but did arrive on time..My item did not perform well and emitted a burning smell in use.No good for removing fine debris and whilst some coarse debris is removed and pumped into the rather tiny net bag, most of it is just stirred up and redistributed around the pond. The vacuum is described as operating in 30 second cycles, the vacuum I was using operated 10 seconds at a time.Cleaning a large pond would take an eternity..Not satisfied with the vacuum so needed to return - this is when the 'fun' started.I followed AMAZON instructions and obtained a Return Authorisation from Amazon and returned it to Seller using my own carrier and at my own cost - expecting to be refunded by the Seller.AMAZON advised me that the Seller would contact me as soon as they received the item.Tracking advised me that the item had been successfully delivered.Over a week passed and no contact.I telephoned the Seller - not answering the 'phones.Sent an email and eventually received a reply.Eventually received a refund for cost of item but NOT for carriage costsLost over £12 carriage costs.Later told by Seller that I should have contacted them for instructions to return - a bit late at that time - did not offer to compensate me for selling me a defective product. Will not use again.
