If I could buy them again, I absolutely would
I bought one for each bathroom in my house and paid the high shipping cost (due to the weight and size of the boxes), but I’d do it again without hesitation — they work beautifully. The noise level is extremely low, even quieter than the sound of the shower running. You only hear a soft hum once the water is turned off. I wired them to a humidity sensor, so they turn on and off automatically. I’ve completely forgotten about steam and moisture problems in my bathrooms.

Whisper-Quiet and Efficient!
This bathroom exhaust fan is a game-changer! It's so quiet that you barely notice it's on, yet it effectively removes moisture and odors with ease. Installation was straightforward, and the sleek design blends seamlessly with the ceiling. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their bathroom fan without the noise!

Fixed a problem!
My husband and I purchased a wonderful 15 year old home 4 years ago. The house was well built with many higher-end features. The only problem area was the master bath. After many small fixes, ie… new solid door, repairing and replacing tile, replacing the cracking threshold, etc, we were still having problems with mildew and fighting mold constantly. There were two exhaust fans that were loud but ineffective. Our handyman gave me the advice we needed to purchase a fan that was adequate for the square footage. We are SO happy with our new Broan- Nutone… we now have NO mirror fogging! It use to be that the room was almost dripping with fog. NO fogging now with the new fan. And, it runs so quietly compared to the old one, it was hard to believe it could be better than the existing one! It is far superior, and the mildew issue is almost under control now! It is JUST as good as advertised! We are so happy with our purchase and highly recommend.

No fan noise at all
Super quiet vent fan. Seriously you cannot hear the fan outside the closed bathroom door, as if there were no fan at all.

Good unit, made some modifications to make it work for me...
Well my first mod for the vent fan was to put an LED indicator light in the unit so I could tell when it was on! Well that didn't need to happen as it's not as quiet as I was believed it to be. So my fault as I ordered in the low consumption indicator before I actually had this fan in hand. No biggie, it still looks cool and my guests (it's in in our guest bath upstairs) ALL have given high compliments and basically think it's just normal and how it probably came out of the box, but.... then they know me too, lol.Next up was to paint/match the HVAC vent (pictured) and to not "stick" out so much on the high gloss wood vaulted ceiling. I used a Krylon poly/plastics primer all in one spray; that was textured in Bronze. I also had to make a mitered poly trim pieces that covered up the outside corners as I was filling a prior vent hole of 12" x 12". This fan unit covered everything except 1/4" on the very outside corner. This is due to the curving corners of the faceplate. No biggie, I've got the ingenuity I guess to deal these small tasks lol. Wifey loves it and that's the import part I guess ;)Hope this may help others with modifications in their blood. Overall the unit is great and to note; you don't hear the fan if the shower is on, when it's off the noise is low, just not as minimal as the Mfgr states.

All quiet on the western front (as they say)
I've been wanting to change my bathroom fan for years as my contractor put in a cheap Nu-Tone 4" ventilator when we upgraded our bath. Every time I turned it on it sounded like a ShopVac! I hated to use it at night if anyone was sleeping in a nearby bedroom. When I saw this Broan claiming 0.3 sones I decided to give it a try. I don't know exactly what a sone is but I know 0.3 is a pretty small number. After quickly removing the 4" beast, cutting the larger opening in the sheetrock for the Broan and running new 6" flexpipe up to the roof vent, I was pleasantly surprised if not outright impressed that all I could hear is the air noise moving through the fan blades. No motor noise at all. It sounds like a light rain outside your window. I'm still slightly restricting by using the 4"opening in the roof, I have a transition piece in place right now but plan on putting a proper 6" vent in when I get to it. That will probably drop the air sound down even further since restricting the fan causes it to run faster (I tested that by putting my hand over the fan opening before installing). I went one step further by installing a Lutron occupancy switch so the fan runs as soon as someone enters the bathroom and runs for five minutes after. You hardly even notice it, I never could have done that with the other ventilator. Very happy with the construction and installation options, took about an hour.
