My Danes love this food! It gives them abundant energy for their walks and play time. Also, their stools are half the size they were on the previous food they were on before--very important when you consider they are gentle giants. The large chunks also give them time to enjoy the meal.

8 month old Great Dane has been on this food for 3 months. He is 8 months now, 33 inches at shoulder and weight is 134.lb.Has really is showing nice structure build and moderate weight gain (as one would want!)Likes it, the food (biscuits) are large, like 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches across.. so only needs required amount, feeding freely now and shares the same bag with my Mastiff… Bag last about 3+ weeksPut on auto ship with Amazon and get a very substantial discount!!!!.We tried the OTHER Home Delivery company “C”…. They couldn’t ever get the delivery right, fought them for 2 years, finally saw this brand on Amazon, received first bag next day!Much more than I could ever say about the other company…. Dogs enjoy this food!!!

Pro: My Danes love this food, they gobble it up, they seem more energetic and their bowel movements are firm. The size of the chunks are large which slows their rate of eating which I believe helps as well. I always taste the food I give my dogs and this is surprisingly tasty, I could definitely eat this food in the absence of other food.Con: The packaging is not impressive. The bags are NOT durable and the enclosing mechanism is not easy to use. Lately about every other AMAZON delivery has damaged the bag. Even if the bag is undamaged, I suggest that you not use the closing mechanism but instead get an air tight container to keep the food.Net: My Danes seem to do better with food and are most certainly worth the minor extra cost of this food as well as the better storage containers that I recommend. But Amazon seems unable to deliver the bags undamaged. The bag damage is typically not severe but I don't want to give my dogs food from damaged bags.

I do not agree with the ingredients which are mostly corn and by products of chicken. HOWEVER: instead of plain wheat and water biscuits, I use it as treats for my dogs: the chunks are large enough to imitate biscuits and at least it has some nutrients that plain dog biscuits do not have.

These food pieces are huge! My dog loved the flavor, there must be a good amount of fat. The only problem we had was that our dog would get a piece out of her bowl, bite into it, and let the crumbs fly. Just like cookie monster. If Royal has the same food in smaller pieces, I will buy it next time.

This is the best food for my Danes. They eat slow. No stomach issues. I just wish it was in stock more.
