Awesome tool
Powerful and gets the job done! A bit of a hefty device so not for the weak to use. I am 60, strong and fit and pushed my limits but is a work horse.

Not as heavy as you think
Don't do this at home, but... I run this thing with one hand. If not one hand, then I lay it across my leg (for vertical brick wall). Either way, the actual weight you will experience while using this device is ONLY when you pull it out of the case and put it back into the case. Otherwise what you actually feel in your HAND is maybe only 10 pounds at any given time. NOW, having said that, you must always brace yourself in the even that it slips off its target. Again, if you support your arm with your leg or your hip (you will catch on while using it), this is not an issue, but just something to be aware of. I say this because I was concerned about what size of jack hammer to purchase. I was lifting water containers and stuff to "feel" what 27 pounds feels like. This turned out to be a completely wrong approach as the device is so well balanced and conforms so nicely to your body, you will not notice any stress or strain from the weight. Also, forget all those stupid movies where you see some buff guy being jerked up and down from a huge jack hammer. These things are very smooth and comfortable to use.BTW: Don't operate with only one hand. Always keep two hands in the event that it jumps. You don't want it to jump on your foot ; )

Great Hammer!
We did a front yard remodel in AZ last summer and had this and the 35lb hammer on the job. This hits almost as hard and is much easier to use. Plenty for digging in tough clay soil and not as heavy as my 35lb hammer which I really like too. My father in law bought one of these too.

Best demolition hammer
After an extensive research I decided for the Makita HM1214CX and it was the right decision. May be the best demolition hammer out there that can handle small to a large demolition. The only thing is buy the 18" bits for floor demolition and 12" for wall. The package comes with one 12" fine tip bit.

Light weight, and smooth in vibration.
My guys love it. Not mention it is a good deal of getting a small one as well. Strong enough to break concrete floor effectively. Light-weight but powerful with low vibration that could numb hands after few minutes of work.

Breaks up anything
This thing really works!so much better than old ones. Can darn near run it with one hand.
