You can also take the light switch unit off of its mount and use it as a remote, as it is held to it's mounting base by magnets.Would have given a full 5 stars if the wall plug was a little less bulky and if the magnet that holds the remote unit to it's base was a bit stronger. The plug receiver unit sticks out of the wall socket further than I like, and when reaching for the switch remote, if you bump the unit in the dark, you can knock it off the mounting plate.Other than that, I love it.I use it for my lights in my garage, and have one switch remote mounted on the wall next to the door leading into the house, and a second remote in my wife's car, so she can turn on the lights when she comes home.
