I needed it simple to check a code on my 2000 ford contour and reset the code if it was the Catalytic warning (I know that is dying but not worth fixing). The device worked fine and was able to clear the code. There is one issue, the device fits in the socket but there is no easy way to pull it out because it goes flush with the socket and you cannot get your fingers on it. This is solved simply by adding a piece of tape to make a handle that sticks out a little bit. The device read the codes correctly and as expected the code was my Catalytic converter efficiency warning. I was able to reset the code and the check engine light is off again. I downloaded a generic free app which worked first time no issues. It was pretty easy to use.
