Use canned air instead. Vacuums produce static, which can break components. **Q: May I clean my desktop table as well from dust?** A: It won't work as great for that, but yeah. The suction isn't huge. It's enough to easily clean the keyboard and the computer intake though. But no it's not a dustbuster. **Q: How loud is this vacuum?** A: Not loud but I don't think has any suction power. I don't recommend. **Q: is this powerful enough to pick up sand?** A: Yes, it did pick up sand. I used the brush attachment and had to make several sweeps, but it did pick it all up. If I had a thinner layer of sand, it would have picked up more quickly. I use the Mini Vac mainly to pick up stray coffee grounds from the coffee grinder, and also for crumbs , etc, in kitchen drawers. Sorry it took me this long to respond. I had to find some sand first to test it out.
