I purchased three and I may purchase more because it does all the things I need with a good number of lap and split time memory. I have had many stop watches and they didn't have a detailed manual as this one has. I will purchase again when I want to get more.

**Q: Is it easy to switch from stop watch to tally mode? And will it delete tallys or save them when switch**
A: Yes, it is easy to make that change.... just the simple push of a button.  And yes, it will hold onto the tally and not delete it when you do that.

**Q: How can this be used as a metronome?**
A: No. It has date / current time, day of week on 1 screen. Stop watch with lap times on another screen, countdown timer with current time on a 3rd screen, alarm with current time on another screen, and a final screen with a counting function.

**Q: Does the countdown beep have a beep 5 second before the end?**
A: none, button are hard to press buy a 50 dollar watch is more prefer if you are a official.

**Q: Does this have a background light**
A: No
