I measured mine (8 cup): the replacement black ring is 2" diameter, the top of the glass part is 1" diameter and rises 7/8" above the ring. If this is the size of your percolator top, it may be a good fit. Otherwise, contact Farberware. **Q: Is the rubber ring made of silicone, and if not, does anyone know of a replacement that uses silicone instead of commercial rubber?** A: it's neither silicone nor rubber.. it is made of plastic. it does not come in contact with any liquid so you do not have to worry about chemical leaching. **Q: What is the outer diameter of the washer?
