This is a great architecture lamp ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it’s all metal, super easy assemble, and comes with a light bulb, so nice and bright! The base is very heavy, no worries about it moving or tipping.👍

I love LED lights. But I was getting tired of desklights that have built in LEDs - the LEDs invariably start to fail and the only option is to replace the entire light. This lamp takes care of that, buy a new LED bulb and screw it in and you're good to go again (and those bulbs generally last better too). It also gives you the option to vary the brightness (wattage) and color temperature of the light.It comes with a decent 9 watt bulb. I opted to push it up to 13 watts and that gives me all the brightness I needed, much better than any lamp with built in light that I have purchased.I will say that the construction is lighter than I expected, especially for something with the Bostitch name on it. I don't think it is just going to fall apart, but i would be concerned if I fiddled with it a lot and moved it around. For me it is almost exclusively position it and forget it, so I think it will last just fine.I did notice what another reviewer mentioned, that when you screw in the bulb it seems like the fixture tries to turn (along with the wiring), which is a bit concerning. I made sure to hold it and keep the fixture from turn while I installed the bulb, and I would suggest that you do that as well.Lamp is easily set up and attached to your table or desk. I did 'cheat' and kept the base of my previous light (which was a much more strongly made base) but the included one would have worked fine.I'm happy with my purchase and believe that this light will give me good service.

Good construction, pretty standard parts but the socket/hood area is well made. the cable could be longer.

This review is for Bostitch table lamp, not the version that clamps. I wanted the Anglepoise Type 75 Desk Lamp from Design Within Reach, for its simple, functional and classic midcentury modern look, but it's over $300 plus shipping when not on sale. This Bostitch lamp rings up at about $40, and it has the same industrial-architectural vibe as the Type 75. For a tenth the cost. Of course, this table lamp only comes only in black (the clamp-on comes in white, too), while the Type 75 comes a variety of great colors, including black. I do find one feature preferable in the Bostitch version: the on-off switch is conveniently atop the shade, while the Type 75 switch is on the cord, which means you have to spend a moment hunting for it every time you turn on the light. Accepts up to 25 watt bulbs, and comes with 9 watt LED bulb (75 watt incandescent equivalent).

At first, I loved this; however, as time went on it ended up being more of a pain than anything. The mounting method was horrible. Every time I went to move the lamp to a different part of my desk because of re-organizing and re-arranging it made me want to throw the lamp through the window. So much so that when my wife asked for a lamp I ordered her a completely different one (shown below) because this one was just such a pain to mount. Rather than having the usual turn bar, like most lamps, this one had a nut you had to tighten and a top mounting part that had no actual secure method so often times it would act like it was tight and mounted and then you'd move it and it would fall. So I finally gave up and ordered myself the same one I got for my wife, which was 100% better. Mounted hers 5x for re-arrangements as well and never once had an issue. So I finally gave up on mine, took the bulb out and threw the entire thing away and ordered the same one I ordered my wife and now I've had no issues.DO NOT PURCHASE THIS - it will make you want to hulk out because someone was too cheap to put the normal mounting mechanism on the lamp and stuck with a nut.What we bought instead:Globe Electric 56963 32" Multi-Joint Desk Lamp with Metal Clamp, Black, On/Off Rotary Switch on Shade, Partially Adjustable Swing Arm, Home Essentials, Reading Light, Office Décor

Piece of junk. I read the bad reviews but thought no it'll be all right. It won't stay clamped to my desk the knob is so tiny that you struggle to tighten it. And then the whole piece that goes into that is loose it doesn't attach to anything so it wobbles it falls out all the time. The spring keeps popping off of it. I'm not happy with the purchase

Gives me just that extra focused light I need!
