Addressing things from other reviews: my unit did not have any issue with smell. Assembly is a great throwback to all of who grew up playing with Lincoln Logs - it's amazingly simple and clever with no tools needed. Outside of the very first step, I needed no assistance. In terms of sturdiness, it's fairly solid. I'm pretty sure if I messed around with records on the shelves while I had another album playing there would be skipping, so it's not a solid brick. But there's no wobble during normal use. Seems about right for the price. Zero gripes, and my turntable space looks slick - certainly would recommend.

A: Shelves are not adjustable.  Some vinyl box sets do fit in the two lower record shelves.  Fully loaded, no signs of shelf sagging are evident after five months.  Third shelf cavity below the top turntable shelf is large enough to accept a Bose wave radio.
