So I charged the speaker and decided to try it out later that night. After hours of play and several beers I decided this was a good speaker for a chill hangout with a few friends. Here is where this amazing little speaker started to shine. I had the speaker setting on top of my SUV in my garage. I left it powered and went inside by accident. The next morning it was raining and I headed out to get my with my boys in tow. I went to 3 different locations over the course of 2.5 hours. The whole time it was raining. This also included a ride down a divided highway at around 60mph. When I returned home this little speaker was still on the roof of my SUV. It had not moved an inch and had been rained on the whole time. I paired the speaker to my phone and it stared playing immediately.This was about 3 weeks ago and I have not had any issues yet.This is reason why this is a great speaker. I typically play music on my phone, which has horrible sound quality, so a nice speaker is a must. This sounds great and I can get the volumes I want.It is waterproof, but much like my other waterproof electronics, I don't typically test that. However, I'd feel comfortable bringing it in last in the event of rain. It also seems rugged. The outer casing is rubber-like. Again, I don't generally toss my electronics on the ground to test durability.Otherwise, it's relatively small and lightweight, but sounds great. It also seems to have great battery life. I haven't played it until dead, but it's definitely gone on strong after several hours. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product and great price. *by J***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2019* I learned about these from watching a notorious bluetooth speaker enthusiast's YouTube videos, and comparing this speaker to the usual competitors via ERQU's interactive speaker audio database. It does seem to easily beat the Bose, UE and JBL offerings on sound quality. Go have a listen for yourself. The ERQU provides the rare combination of very clear sound with nice bass response.In short:These sound fantastic, get pretty loud for their size, and look nice as well.What could be improved:- The top is super glossy plastic, and is so glossy that both of my new speakers had hairline scratches near the buttons as though the factory worker's finger nails had already marked up the top right out of the sealed packaging. A bluetooth speaker is meant to be portable, so why they put such an easy-to-scuff top on it makes no sense.- The startup�utdown lag takes a couple of seconds, which can be annoying when you're used to just pushing a button and getting sound. To be fair, I didn't compare this aspect to other bluetooth speakers when I was making my choice, so it might be a standard lag time for this type of speaker.- The surround sound sync setup between 2 units is super annoying. I got 2 units for this purpose, and it really does sound great when it is working, but it has been annoying getting everything connected if anything goes wrong. My iphone can get fixated on the wrong speaker, and I have to leave the annoying voice response on or I can't tell if the process is working correctly.The smartphone app is no help with this as it is basically just a volume remote where you can also see the devices like your normal bluetooth menu. I found the app to also be annoying, have minimal utility, and cause lag and battery drain on my phone when in operation.I would still buy this speaker again today.
