This is the one you need...... *by E***C on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on June 30, 2016* I have been using this case for approx 5 months now with my DJI Phantom 3 advanced, and I wanted to share some ofm y thoughts so far.....First the good-Price. 2-3x less then ones that come pre molded. No brainer here.-Customization. Most of the pre mold cases have a set way they are made to be used and that may not work for you. With this case you can set it up however you want, which is big since we all use different accessories. Also, I found the fit to be much more snug in this case helping keep everything secure for travel. take your time when you plan out where everything should go. What you had in mind might not be reality once you start taking individual foam blocks out. Start with the drone first, then receiver, batteries and accessories spots.-Build Quality. The case is identical to anything you can buy for 2-3x the price. I haven't yet, but believe it to be more than sufficient for checked bag airline travel. Everything is tight and protected.-Fully Waterproof.And the negative.-Foam durability. I have had the case approx 6 months, and the one thing I notice is the foam is slowly just crumbling away. Not sure how long it will last when I start using it more frequently.-No Air Breath Hole. Yes, it is fully waterproof this way, however, when I traveled over a high Colorado mountain pass, it sealed itself shut from the pressure difference in altitude, and I had to pry it open with a screw driver. This problem is easily solved by adding a few tiny drill hols around the seal to prevent the suction.-Set up time. Although I won't really call this a deal breaker, since this is one of the biggest benefits of the case, it did take me approx 3 hours to set it up in the beginning to make sure everything was right. You can't really rush this since it's hard to put block back in that you have already torn out. Again, this isn't so much a negative thing unless you know you can't or don't want to take the time to set it up right.WEll, that's about it. Overall , I give this product 4 out of 5 stars simply on the questionable durability of the foam. I had higher hopes, but after checking it at the airport four times; it has broken pieces all over. One of the latches has broken, and there are several places where the plastic has been put through the standard airline treatment and has not survived it intact. Usually these types of heavy-duty cases should not break so easily under moderate pressure...but I'm very disappointed that after only about a year it will need to be replaced. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Built to transport and protect a Phantom on & off the trail *by R***Y on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on October 2, 2015* If you want a rugged, large case for your Phantom (mine is a Phantom 3) then you should definitely give this one a close look. This is a top-tier case and provides superb protection for your bird. As described by the seller and many of the reviews, the foam inserts are a "pluck & pull" design - which means they are partially cut in a grid pattern so that you can easily tear sections of foam out. If you have a basic level of creative and/or design ability, you should have no problem customizing the foam in exactly the configuration you want.Pros:- HEAVY DUTY design should protect your cargo even in extreme circumstances. This is a case designed to go off-trail!- Virtually water-proof with full lid seal that seals airtight when latched - In fact, the seal was so tight that I had some difficulty opening the case upon delivery because the inside had a bit of a vacuum. I have no doubt that a latched case would float indefinitely which would come in handy if you want to take your Phantom on some wilder adventures- Secure closure with four heavy-duty latches to keep the lid closed as you bounce down the path- User-customized interior layout and design. You design and modify the foam EXACTLY the way you want it! It took me about an hour, but I went slow and took my time to get it just the way I wanted it.- Lockable. Sometimes you need to keep honest people honest!Cons:- The biggest drawback relates directly to my favorite feature - you must customize the foam yourself. I personally enjoy doing this (its kind of like a mini-puzzle or DIY arts & crafts project).- Latch design makes closing the lid slightly cumbersome. The side latches will hit the lower half of the case and need to be flipped out to close the lid for latching. This is a minor issue that most people should not mind.- When open and empty, the case is "tippy" and wants to fall over on the lid sometimes. It is not a problem at all when the Phantom is in the case.- Due to the tight seal creating a vacuum during shipping, my case "sucked in" and appeared deformed with the top and bottom dented in slightly. This deformation of the plastic case was temporary and after a few days disappeared completely with the case taking its normal shape.- The foam inserts are in layers and they tend to come out when you remove your bird.
