I have the trickle charger hard wired to the battery directly and it does not cause any problems with the PDM60. **Q: How are the grounds wired? Looks like only Positive connections?** A: Yes, this is correct. This is a small ground wire, but that is for the circuitry of the PDM-60 itself. Think of the PDM-60 as a 6-pole switch which is fed by the (large) red wire which connects to the battery's +12V terminal. Each auxiliary connection, then, will provide +12V to your accessories. Each accessory's ground connection should be grounded either directly to the frame of the bike, or you can use the large black wire that is provided which is intended to be connected directly to the battery's negative terminal (or to a suitable ground). The large eye on the end of that ground wire will receive the small bolt that is also provided in the kit. There are also several crimp-on connectors with same-sized eyes to allow you to stack them together and bolt them to the end of the ground wire. The only bag thing is where the connector to program the module is located. For me the best place will be in the button of the unit, but that is my opinion.
