We charged them before the girls opened them for Christmas so they would work out of the box and they did. They were simple enough for the 2 year old to use. Caution, she did get her finger inside and it hurt - no blood or cut. But she was afraid to grab it after that. All of the adults had fun with them too. Worked as shown in the videos and so much fun. He loves how easy this is to fly and that it doesn’t require him to use a controller. It senses walls and other obstacles and generally steers clear of them. It’s easy to catch when you’re finished and it doesn’t fly too far off. This is an amazing beginner drone. I like how the propellers are protected so they won’t get bent or tangled in something if it falls.
