This is by far the best dry brush/dust remover I've ever used on LPs. I used one many,many years ago, and haven't found anything nearly as good, so I bought another one. While this isn't a replacement for a wet/vacuum LP cleaner, it is superb for dusting the records just before play. A couple of seconds of use and the dust is gone. Highly recommended! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ must have for large format photography *by J***R on May 3, 2008* i use this primarily for cleaning 4x5 neg carriers so that my photographs aren't filled with black dust after exposure. although now that i've gone the route of digital printing, it isn't that much of an issue. nonetheless, this is an awesome product for cleaning dust of off lenses, negatives, pretty much any surface with dust on it. the great thing about the product is that you're not just moving the dust from one place to another, but you're picking up the dust. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ High quality brush at a high price. *by M***T on October 17, 2018* Yes - I use this brush for cleaning dust particles off of my vinyl LPs. This is in addition to first cleaning them with my VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine. Once in a while there’s dust, or a stray dirt particle that makes its way onto the record’s surface. I use the more stout 2” brush with a handle closer to the bristles for finer control. The only problem I can imagine is the price. When I bought mine in the 1990s it wasn’t nearly as expensive, even if one allows for inflation. I’ve been told that the imbedded polonium strip most likely has worn away on my older brush by now. That’s OK, it hardly seems to matter - it works as well as it ever has. I’m not saying one should search for a non-polonium brush, as it would probably be less expensive - only because I’ve used other (non-polonium) brushes and the Staticmaster always works better. A nice brush at a premium price. Like they say (who are they?) quality is expensive.
