It's very hard to know what your buying, as in product unseen. This is one reason I shop Amazon, as I never had to ship any of my merchandise back. The Coleman Motor Mount fit perfect and was worth the price. I was going on Amazon website quite often looking for when they would stock this item. Then I received a notice from Amazon letting me know the motor mount was in stock and scooping it up quick.I did scroll through the reviews and found one customer who said it wasn't worth the money for the cheap pips and a piece of wood. I saw nothing cheap, the pipes are strong as the wood backing too, In fact you couldn't build the same motor mount for that price. Having fun trolling in our many Lakes.Thank you AMAZON.Claude R. From Nutrioso Az. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mount *by G***G on August 2, 2018* It worked well thanks ### ⭐⭐ Cheap plastic clamp on extenders (not metal as shown in image) *by J***R on August 19, 2018* As always Amazon was amazing in allowing for the return and refund, but to warn you ahead of time before considering purchasing this, please read the issues I ran into.On the extension rods, the image shows metal butterfly bolts that would make this product a whole lot better. What I received, was a version with plastic clamps as seen in this version:https://www.amazon.com/Sevylor-U102ACC-00-000-Motor-Mount/dp/B0000AY0HF/ref=pd_sbs_468_5?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0000AY0HF&pd_rd_r=4Y77CXTA7X91MN5T57P6&pd_rd_w=D7muw&pd_rd_wg=7YHDt&psc=1&refRID=4Y77CXTA7X91MN5T57P6One of these clamps broke on my second use... perhaps I tightened too hard, or perhaps it's just too cheap for this type of use. Had this been metal, I would be certain that I could not have over-tightened.Second issue (and less significant) is that my Minn Kota motor did not have enough range to clamp the motor to mounting board. This was easily overcome by sliding in some cardboard to act as a shim, but if the board was just 1/4" thicker, it would be sufficient. One could say that this is an issue with the motor itself... but, I'm inclined to think that the manufacturer probably should have known what the clamping distance on a Minn Kota motor would require.
