This B&D book is one in a long series that I've bought over the years to help me learn, and this book is no difference. There's ideas about what you can do with concrete and masonry, but more important is the set of techniques the book provides. It's easy to read through, and has lots of illustrations to show how to tackle various tasks. Having said that, I think some things I will still leave to the pros, but for small tasks I have new confidence in my skills.
