The odor will subside if you leave it outside for a couple of days. The Silicone Board is nice and big (20" x 20") and is very flexible and waterproof. You can eat and drink while playing with no worries of any damage to the board or pieces. The pieces are Quad-Weighted so they are nice and heavy.
