These boots are leather... buffalo leather. It is not supple and looks cheap. Granted, the boots are very inexpensive for ANY kind of leather, but I would rather pay the same price for synthetic boots that were stylish and comfortable.I am a size 8, but only size 8.5 was available for purchase, so I ordered the 8.5. They fit... just (so I imagine the 8 would have been WAY too small). It was uncomfortable to put them on since the tongue is sewn about half way up (there isn't full clearance to get them on).There has got to be better options out there! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall, nice boots! *by M***M on January 17, 2016* I like these boots and am happy I got them. I would say that they fit somewhat small. In my opinion the fit is somewhat small because the 8.5 is a good fit on me but normally in flat shoes I wear an 8 and often in heels a 7.5 is best. At first they seemed a little uncomfortably snug right at the base where the laces start but I figured that, being leather, if I wore them for a bit they would stretch out enough and they have. The fit is perfect now, and I've just had them a few weeks. They are harder to get on and off since they don't have a zipper but that's to be expected and the look of the boots is good, almost all boots of this type have a zipper so not having one makes these stand out a bit. The only other thing is that one of the little metal rings where the laces go though has fallen out (or maybe wasn't there to begin with, I don't know, just noticed it a day or two after wearing), I didn't pay a lot for the boots so not a big deal to me, but still wanted to note that. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love these boots *by B***S on March 9, 2016* Love these boots! Based upon the reviews I went ahead and ordered a size 10 1/2 even though I usually wear an 8 1/2 to a 9. Unfortunately they were too big, so I am ordering the 9 1/2 instead. I can't wait for them to come in! They seem like good quality boots and I love that the real leather! I know they will wear so much nicer than the synthetic versions. Only reason I gave them a four star was because they were too big and I haven't had a chance to properly review them by wearing them first. Additionally the shipments was incredibly fast!
