I wee immediately after intercourse, and wash down in the shower being careful not to put any bacteria near my urethra (think when you wipe front to back same kind of idea). I then take 3 additional D-Mannose tablets or powder if you're feeling twitchy and you're looking for a quick fix. I also take a Bio-Kult Pro-Cyan Tablet with Cranberry extract after intercourse. The following days when a UTI could potentially appear I take the tablets again in the morning whenever I get that twitchy feeling. I also take them in the days leading up so that my bladder is healthy. The whole procedure of getting those due to their concerns about antibiotic resistance was a nightmare so I wanted a quick and natural alternative. Took these 2 days after finishing the antibiotics as I still had that feeling. Took 3 x 3 tablets day 1, 3 x 2 tablets day 2 and 3 and will take 3 x 1 tablet for a few more days to be sure. These have actually worked!!!! Still had a niggle on the first 2 days taking them but no severe pain or bleeding! In future when I feel that twinge I will take the higher dose straight away. I have got a cheaper/lower dose brand for maintenance - to take the one morning/evening and will use this higher dose and brand for if/when I get a future episode. Recommend to my daughters for Download festival to help keep them clean and healthy.
