Nice beefy spring. Good bolt, two nuts to secure. (threadlock them or vibration will work it loose)I ran into a big issue however. I just assumed the rifle had a bayonet lug (norinco).It did not. I was mistaking the cleaning rod guide for a lug. Not sure how common this is but aside from this rifle I've never seen one that didn't have a bayo lug.I really liked the bipod and wasn't giving up. Carefully drilled a hole through the side of the cleaning rod guide to the same size as the bipods bolt, then cut a lengthwise slot in it using a dremel cutting disc so it could go in snugly. Then filed down several mm off the top of the bipod to ensure the holes all lined up, then bolted it on, and filled any excess space with JB weld to top it off. It's very secure. It only took about an hour. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits sorta - the SKS *by T***S on Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2021* Sot the bipod is nice, delivery was great, but the bolt/pin and the hole that it passes through that come with this bipod is ever so slightly bigger than the Bayo hold on the rifle.. so either use the original bolt/pin/screw that is on the Bayo and have bit of wobble (if you do not want modify the original parts, or you do some drilling - but then if you want to put your bayo back on - yep not it will have wobble. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice accessory *by E***C on Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2020* I mounted this using the original SKS bayonet screw after removing the bayonet. The fit was perfect. FYI, mine is a Chicom type 56 which I brought back from Vietnam. However, since all of these are nearly identical regardless of country or origin, it probably fits OK on all models.The only thing to consider is that once you mount it it has to be unscrewed to remove it which can take a few minutes. Leaving it attached adds about 3 inches to the front dimension of the rifle which makes it impossible to fit into a standard tapered gun case.
