Quinoa - A Rainbow of Nutritious Delights in a 10lb Bag
I recently had the pleasure of incorporating the OA Quinoa Now Greenfit Royal Organic Tri-Color Quinoa into my daily diet, and it has been a game-changer. Here's a comprehensive review of this 10lb bag of nutritious goodness.**Quality and Organic Certification:** The quinoa is of exceptional quality, with each grain appearing whole and well-processed. The organic certification is a significant plus, ensuring that the product is free from harmful pesticides and chemicals. This aspect is crucial for health-conscious consumers like myself who prioritize organic options.**Taste and Texture:** The blend of white, red, and black quinoa not only makes for a visually appealing dish but also adds a delightful variety of textures and subtle flavor differences. The white quinoa is slightly softer and has a milder taste, while the red and black quinoa provide a nuttier and more robust flavor. When cooked, they blend seamlessly, offering a pleasant, slightly crunchy texture.**Nutritional Value:** Quinoa is known for its high protein content, and this product is no exception. It's a fantastic source of plant-based protein, fiber, and essential amino acids, making it an excellent choice for vegetarians, vegans, and anyone looking to add a nutritious boost to their meals.**Cooking and Versatility:** This quinoa cooks evenly and fluffs up beautifully, without becoming mushy or sticky. It's incredibly versatile - great in salads, as a side dish, or even as a base for breakfast bowls. Its ability to absorb flavors makes it perfect for a wide range of recipes.**Packaging:** The 10lb bag is convenient and cost-effective, especially for those who use quinoa regularly. The packaging is sturdy, ensuring the grains stay fresh over time. However, due to its size, it might require repackaging into smaller containers for easier handling and storage in smaller kitchens.**Price Point:** Given the quality, organic nature, and the sheer volume of the product, the price is very reasonable. It offers great value for money, especially when considering the health benefits and versatility of the product.**Conclusion:** The OA Quinoa Now Greenfit Royal Organic Tri-Color Quinoa is a top-notch product that I would highly recommend. Its blend of taste, texture, nutritional value, and versatility make it a standout choice. Whether you're a quinoa enthusiast or trying it for the first time, this 10lb bag is an excellent investment for a healthy, versatile diet.

Worth the price.
I recently bought this and I could not be more satisfied. The seeds are clean, and I appreciate it was organic. Cooks perfectly in my regular rice cooker.

Love this red quinoa!!
Absolutely love eating and making dishes with this quinoa!! I eat a whole food plant based diet mostly based on starchy foods like potatoes, lentils and this red quinoa with the addition of some fruits and veggies. Dropped my A1C from 12 to 5.6 and my cholesterol numbers are really good. I make sure to eat 2 to 3 servings of both the quinoa and lentils daily.

Bulk purchase is economical
I went to write a review on the 25 lb. white quinoa and an old review I had written on the tri-color showed up. I left it below as a bonus review at the end of this review.I was hesitant to buy a 25 lb. bag of quinoa, but the white doesn't seem to be available at this time on Amazon in 10 lb. bags (this is being written in Dec. '21.)I had bought several 4 lb. bags of white quinoa from another company via Amazon. The cost was around $4/lb. Buying 10 lb. of this brand is around $3/lb. And buying 25 lb is $2.50/lb.But what if the bag breaks during shipping? Well, it comes in a double walled bag that is sewn shut, and the whole kit is then placed in a box. So it arrived intact. But what if bugs are in the bag? There are reports of bugs being found in quinoa. I've never found even one after buying what I'd estimate are hundreds of pounds of quinoa over years. One site for bug checking suggested buying a sieve to check for bugs.I bought on Amazon a fine sieve which the seller says is a 30 mesh strainer. I put some quinoa in from the 25 lb. bag. Shook it. What seems like chaff fell through. I magnified it and it still seemed to be just that: chaff, unmoving. So I'm pretty confident there are no bugs. So: no downsides of a broken bag and/or bugs. An upside of saving money. But what about storage? After opening the bag, I rolled the top of the bag closed and put the bag inside two plastic bags (Hippo bags, also bought on Amazon). The Hippos have handles which can be used to tie the plastic bag shut and that's how I store the quinoa. Now, the 25 lb. bag is not a bag like the 5 or 10 lb. bags where it's possible to just lift and pour the quinoa out as needed. I mean, it is possible with the 25 lb. bag but a little trickier. So here's where a metal one cup scoop with a pointy tip usually used for flour comes in handy. And of course the scoop can be gotten on Amazon.===original review on tri-color===[5 stars]Title: I can say I was thereQuinoa is a staple in my diet. I usually buy the white variety. First time buying the tri-color.The cooking time for each color varies. So it was a little tricky working out a techique to cook the tri-color quinoa. Experimented with the amounts of water added and cooking time (including just letting the quinoa sit with no heat after bringing to a boil.)I'm going back to white quinoa and just ordered some. But I'm glad I tri-ed the tri-color. Might revisit it at some future point.
