**Q: Is This Unbleached?**
A: I don't think they even bleach whole wheat flour lol...as far as I can tell it does not say anything about bleaching anywhere on the bag, website, it looks and tastes like whole wheat..so I think u'll be ok. ^_~
Pretty much all the bob's flours r very good so u really can't go wrong with this one.. it maybe a little finer than what ur used to even for a whole wheat flour..though there will be bits of bran in it still but that's how whole wheat flour is supposed to be...ur old baking recipes may need a little more liquid than they did before...it may help to get a whole wheat recipe from bob's red mill website if u don't have one already or don't want to fiddle with what ever ur trying to make. ^_^

A: yes, I would not pay 19. for whole wheat

**Q: what is the difference between this and the organic wheat both from Red Mill?**
A: in response to Thankful's response:  "organic" means that the wheat was grown without synthetic fertilizers, synthetic pesticides or sewage sludge, and that it was not genetically engineered or irradiated.  I think also that the field in which it is grown has to be a certain distance from fields that are not organically farmed so that there's no contamination from runoff or spray.

I was looking for whole wheat flour online, and stumbled upon this find. I tried it for the first time yesterday, and FINALLY, I was able to make my bread perfectly!!! This flour is fantastic, and I also love the packaging the Bob's Red Mill uses, since it is not the fragile paper bags like all of the other brands use that always crack and tear. Not only that, but this item is less expensive that all of the other brands I have seen. This is the best value out there!!! Get some today!!!
