Alice's Adventures in Wonderland: Unabridged, with Poems, Letters & Biography (Gothic Fantasy)

I absolutely loved the Alice in wonderland movie when I was young. I have grown up to love anything Alice in wonderland related but had never actually read the original story. I found this book and was very excited to read it. It is true that books are always better than the movies. The artwork is so intriguing and the story itself is nonsensical in the best way. I power read through the two wonderland books and am looking forward to reading the rest of the extras. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this as a gift for a friend who is a fan of everything Alice in Wonderland. She absolutely loves this book has so much more than just the “story of” Alice as most of us grew up on watching Disney and that it does lean more towards the darker side of fairy tales. Highly recommend for anyone looking for more from a story.

This book will be a welcomed addition to all Alice fans. I plan to spend many happy hours reading the poems and letters etc. I have loved Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass since I first learned to read. This book is something NEW to add to my collection of books, videos and memorabilia. The seller is to be commended in getting the book to me ahead of schedule. The book is well bound and will be a beautiful addition to my library.

The print is a little small. I bought this to read to my five year old, but she's scared of the book so we will try when she's six or seven. It's a beautiful book though, well worth it.

Pretty book. Thick because it’s the story and much more in there.. the story itself is dark, because that’s the original not what Disney presents.. I’d say High School age is best..

As stated in the heading, this book is ok for the price but I definitely wouldn't consider it a "deluxe" edition. The cover is attractive but should have a dust jacket. The paper is not good quality and the illustrations (all b+w) are mostly too dark and poor quality. The Tenniel illustrations which are arguably those most associated with "Alice" are particularly rough and unclear which is such a shame. I suppose for the price i shouldnt have expected more and it IS a fair price for what you get. But this is most definitely NOT a deluxe edition that you could add to a quality collection.

A beautiful book containing Alice’s Adventures and Through The Looking Glass, as well as poems and letters of Lewis Carroll. The original illustrations, even the paper and the way the pages are numbered remind you of the original. So much care and thought has gone into this edition and it’s such a pleasure to have it now in my book collection. The content, quality and the beautiful cover would make it an excellent gift for an adult fan of Lewis Carroll.

The most beautiful book I’ve seen for a while. Mint condition , all the original illustrations haven’t read it yet but from the scan I had it’s perfect. Love this book

The hard cover wasn’t in pristine conditions but it is a very beautiful edition. The paper is nice and even being a fairly big book, it’s not heavy at all.
