Every child should read it, as well as every member of Congress! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent for place value! *by M***N on June 5, 2026* This is such a great book for explaining a million to young children. I homeschool and bought this book for my six year old. He loved the explanations and laughed at a lot of the illustrations/examples used to convey the magnitude of one million. What surprised me is how well my four year old grasped this idea as well. Although he has not truly started on place value, he has started saying things to the effect of “I want a million pieces of pizza” and “I love you one million”. This demonstrates his understanding of one million is a large amount. We will circle back to this book once our school year starts again and really dive into place value concepts.
