I have a ghost shrimp, an Amano shrimp, and two small goldfish living together, and I ordered these as an occasional treat for the shrimp that normally live off of diatoms and uneaten fish food.Unsurprisingly the goldfish are a huge fan of these sticks and will devour one in thirty seconds if given the chance! The Amano shrimp doesn’t get particularly excited about them but will eat if it appears right in front of her, and the ghost shrimp is kind of freaked out by the stick moving around in the water and doesn’t want anything to do with it. I’ll probably order a different flavor before giving up on these entirely.Some observations from the human perspective:• The stick floats for a while before sinking. I usually stick one end in the gravel or under some leaves, but...• The algae comes off pretty easily once it’s in the water and bumping into anything will take big chunks off the stickNeither of those is a huge problem as the larger chunks of algae sink to the bottom and always get eaten by someone.
