The AXA may work but just seemed too big for it.. The rigidity of the whole assembly is somewhat dependent on the overhang of the too lpost holder over the compound rest. The OXA unit overhangs my compound rest a bit. We have an AXA unit on a larger lathe at work and it also overhangs the compound rest. If placed on the smaller 7x10 lathe, it would overhang even more. I didn't have the opportunity to try the unit at home on my 7x12 to see if it would fit. **Q: Finally put on. One wedge is oversized. With wedge retracted tools fit on one side but not tne other. Needs a bit of creativity for making the mount work but it holds true once locked down. I got a second set of holders for less tool bit swapping.
