The batteries fit too loosely inside, and the current is momentarily interrupted when going over small bumps - this causes the bike light to shut off, and the cord must be unplugged and then replugged in order to turn the light back on - not very ideal when going downhill 40+ mph in the dark. This will work with either 4 or 6 18650 cells. With 6 Li batteries the Cree burned for 6 hours on high ! This case also has a USB power socket. The batteries can only be charged an 8.4v charger (NOT SUPPLIED), but if you are replacing an old light battery pack that charger will work fine. Also be aware this case is larger than a shrink wrap battery pack. It is 4.25 " tall and the old battery pack is about 3 " tall, so it is taller and bulkier, but with 50% more output capacity. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems solid enough to reside inside bike bag. *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2019* This 6-batter version is better than the 4-battery version merely because it has two screws holding the lid on. Am vaper with plenty 18650 batteries to repurpose, and chargers. Needed something to revive old Cree T6 bike light. Seems well built. Can actually screw and unscrew both lid screws at same time. This might help understand how small this thing is. Easily fits into small handlebar bag. Small gripe...one lid screw thread slightly damaged...if done gently, hopefully, over time, I can restore threads and have no issue getting threads to not cross-thread. Am currently using only 4 batteries. When light is hooked up, it's little power indicator light is lit up...whether this pack's power button is depressed, or not...I just unplug when not in use. This device's power button only works the usb out. Have not tried to connect power source-to-this device to charge batteries inside this device. Mounting strap is...well...a nice velcro strap, but doesn't keep device secure enough. I tried wrapping some sandpaper tape around bike frame.
