When I first bought one, it was a toss up between the CE-2 and the Chorus Ensemble, and after playing using both, my money went to the CE-5. It’s lush, stereo chorus is like no other chorus made, and it literally has a sound of its own. I especially like the ability to shape the EQ, and despite the number of knobs, it’s literally impossible to dial in a bad chorus sound. It’s easy to use, built like a rock like all Boss pedals, and looks perfectly at home on my pedal board which contains not only other Boss pedals, but many other manufacturers pedals as well. If you’re on the fence, pull the trigger. You’ll never go back.

I’ve used the CE-5 for many years. When I first bought one, it was a toss up between the CE-2 and the Chorus Ensemble, and after playing using both, my money went to the CE-5. It’s lush, stereo chorus is like no other chorus made, and it literally has a sound of its own. I especially like the ability to shape the EQ, and despite the number of knobs, it’s literally impossible to dial in a bad chorus sound. It’s easy to use, built like a rock like all Boss pedals, and looks perfectly at home on my pedal board which contains not only other Boss pedals, but many other manufacturers pedals as well. If you’re on the fence, pull the trigger. You’ll never go back.
