The dimensions are 40mm long from curved end to square end, by 20mm wide by 1mm thick. Hope that helps.

**Q: What’s the weight limit of the door you can’t use it on as my trap door is heavy wood ?**
A: My door is 55x52x3cms and is solid wood. I don't know how much it weighs but the latch holds it very securely.

**Q: What's the diameter of the knob, please? I need it to fit into existing hole in the door.**
A: If by "knob " you mean the notched circle that the loft opening pole fits into that turns. It's 3cms
